  • Type Narrowing in Angular templates:
    • As a solution to one of the biggest problems for Angular users – the lack of strict mode support, JetBrains will implement type narrowing in Angular templates. This will help with false positive checking and provide advantages such as correct type information in the documentation popup.
  • Code Vision for JavaScript and TypeScript:
    • You may have heard of WebStorm’s Code Vision feature that users can use in JetBrains Rider and IntelliJ IDEA. JetBrains will implement this feature for JavaScript and TypeScript in WebStorm 2022.3 to make it easier to track the usage of various classes, methods, type aliases, and interfaces in your code.
  • Reworked the new project wizard:
    • WebStorm removed the AngularJS, Cordova, and Meteor options from the new project wizard in v2022.2, reducing some of the clutter. In an upcoming release, WebStorm plans to add project templates for Vite and Next.js, and update the templates used to generate Vue projects.
