As an open source office suite alternative to Microsoft Office, LibreOffice started as RISC-V 64-bit architectureprovide support.

The first step is to reconfigure gbuild, and the second step is to add UNO Bridge for the riscv64 architecture. (The “UNO Bridge” is part of UnoTools, primarily for interacting with OpenOffice.org/LibreOffice, to make working with OpenDocument easier than scripting with raw UNO/PyUNO.)

LibreOffice’s basic functionality works fine on riscv64 so far. Bridge tests on Debian, Gentoo and openEuler all pass.

More technical details can be found in this commit.
