Blip is an end-to-end testing tool designed to let you measure the last two elements: latency and packet loss. These are real indicators of your web browsing performance. It doesn’t try to measure bandwidth. Blip is written in pure JavaScript, so it runs entirely in your browser and requires no server-side components. It makes real requests to real http servers instead of using synthetic “ping” packets. It then measures the turnaround time for these requests and plots them on a graph.
