MX Linux is a middleweight Linux operating system based on the Debian stable release, using the core components of antiX, plus additional software created or packaged by the MX community.

Currently MX Linux 21.2.1 is released, a special update for the MX 21.2 release. Since many users had doubts about the grub-pc update for debian, the official update was made so that new MX Linux installations would not encounter the out-of-the-box grub update.

Other highlights in the update include:

  • Debian 11.5 “bullseye” base, including the latest grub update.
  • Kernel Updates: The main Xfce, fluxbox and KDE isos are all updated to the latest 5.10 kernel. AHS uses 5.18 kernel (with updated linux-firmware package)
