Current Password? – WordPress plugin Free download

Current Password?

Description

Provide an extra layer of security to your WordPress website by requiring users to enter their current password
as part of the password changing process
on the dashboard’s Profile page. This extra step protects user accounts
being taken over by those who gained access without knowing the password (common example: user leaves logged in
account on a publicly accessible machine).

This plugin seamlessly adds a Current Password field above the New Password field on the WordPress dashboard’s Profile page (see screenshot).
Works without JavaScript.

Installation

Since the plugin’s aim is to provide an extra layer of security to your WordPress site, we suggest you to install it as a Must Use plugin:

the plugin.
Upload the plugin file to the /wp-content/mu-plugins/ directory. If you don’t have a mu-plugins directory, create it.
Must Use plugins activate themselves automatically, no manual activation is needed.
Current Password field will appear above New Password field on the WordPress dashboard’s Profile page.

(Installing the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly also works.)
